Saints Row 2: Ultor Exposed Review

Volition released some DLC for Saints Row 2. Interested as I was, I bought the DLC from the PS Store for, I think £6-7? The truth is, it wasn't really worth it. Here's a quick review to sum it up.
SPOILER WARNING - This page could contain spoilers.
Story
I'm lost for the story at the moment as I haven't played Saints Row 2's storyline missions enough to get what it's all about. But from what I've gathered... In Ultor Exposed you work for a woman... who's a microbiologist or something (I've lost her name in my noggin') while she tries to frame Ultor for doing something - Again, I'm not sure what. In one of the missions she makes you collect dead bodies which Ultor have experimented on. That's all I've gathered, sorry.
Missions
Ultor Exposed adds three new story missions... yes three. It's not much at all, especially for the amount of money you have to pay. One mission includes you having to collect dead, mutated bodies in a pickup truck for a woman who's name I forget, another see's you chasing a large truck and shooting it while the Ultor security chases you and the final mission includes you taking out wave after wave of Ultor security people and attack helicopters at the top of the mountain. The missions are quite fun, but only take around 10 minutes to complete. You definitely don't get a run for your money with the missions.
What It Adds
Ultor Exposed adds several new clothing items to choose from, as well as 10 new hair styles. Six new vehicles are also added. If it wasn't for the vehicles, I reckon Ultor Exposed would be available for free...
Here are some screenshots of the vehicles included in Ultor Exposed.
Name: Temptress
Details: An agile, sexy and speedy convertible.
Special: -
Type: Car (convertible)

Rocket launcher:

Rockets in action:
Name: EDF Scout
Details: Speedy and armored (?) but with shit handling.
Special: Mounted multi-rocket Annihilator. The rockets you fire can be guided too... manually.
Type: Car? Not quite sure...

Name: Stallion
Details: Speedy racing car with decent handling.
Special: No
Type: Car
Details: Three-wheeled, fast and has pretty good handling.
Special: No
Type: Motorcycle?

Name: Vulture
Details: Large military (?) helicopter with a deadly arsenal of weaponry.
Special: Has a useable minigun which you can control - As well as rockets which you can auto-target with (or manually aim and guide with)
Type: Helicopter (Attack)

Name: AB Destroyer
Details: An airplane with some neat tools on-board. Also modeled on an A10 Thunderbolt?
Special: As well as being speedy and agile like a fighter jet, this airplane can fire rockets which you can guide yourself (or auto-target with), and also has a minigun which you can fire (but the minigun can only fire straight-ahead, you cannot control where the minigun points)

Overall

If it wasn't for the cool vehicles it adds, I would recommend you give this DLC a miss. Frankly, the new missions, clothes and hairstyles aren't worth paying for.
Overall score: 5/10 'Not worth the money.'

For Saints Row 2 on the Xbox 360, a GameFAQs Q&A question titled 'How do I unlock a new hair style?'

Row

Though imperfect (you are still required to select a gender from binary options), the character creators in the Saints Row series (minus the first title) have a lot of options that can be selected by either gender, not restricting the player to man-only and woman-only hairstyles, body types, or voices. Two respondents to the Queer Representation (2016) survey survey suggest that Saints Row 2 or Saints Row: The Third have a gender slider that can be used to denote gender on a scale.

Ruperetta, a trans woman with a long-lasting love for the Saints Row series, sent us some additional information via email:

Firstly, it is possible to make non-binary characters. All one has to do is select a gender then move the slider, which alters the sexual attractiveness of the character (enhanced breast for women, enhanced phallus for men) to the left for a man or right for a woman. In doing so, you can also create homosexual characters which can be confirmed doing an activity called 'hoing'. If you select either a man or woman by default, the hoing activity will be of a heterosexual nature; however, if you create a transgender character, the hoing activity will be homosexual as the game programming will register your character as the default gender you selected. In regards to Saints Row: The Third and Saints Row 4, many of the customization options that were available in Saints Row 2 have been removed in favour of other programming upgrades. While it is still possible to create a female character with a masculine voice and vice versa, the only other option for nonbinary character creation is by cross-dressing.

One other aspect of the Saints Row series, specifically Saints Row 2, that provides LGBTQ content is the taunt/compliment feature. In Saints Row 2, one of the selectable compliments is blowing a kiss. If the player selects this, the character will then appear to flirt with NPCs, and other players in co-op/online mode, and the NPCs will flirt back.

Saints Row 2 Hairstyles Updos

The original Saints Row features a man as a protagonist, but although character creators have a man as the default in the later titles, it is possible to play as a woman. As such, many people believe that if you play Saints Row as a woman, you are in fact playing as a transgender character. The later Saints Row games have been praised for their use of pronouns, referring to the protagonist with gender neutral titles or the pronoun 'they'. Respondents to the Queer Representation (2016) survey have said, however, that unfortunately cutscenes do sometimes use he/him pronouns, even if the player-character is designed as a woman at the beginning of the game, although I have not noticed this in my own playing of the series.

The most recent title in the series, Agents of Mayhem, has multiple playable characters and a range of sexualities. Three of the playable characters—Hollywood, Braddock, and Scheherazade—are confirmed by developers as queer. Hollywood is pansexual, and was the first queer character confirmed by developers. Braddock is a lesbian, and is in a relationship with Friday, who is in charge of coordinating M.A.Y.H.E.M. strike team missions.
